Occasionally you might find scratches on the hardwood floor that is caused by steps of the pets with claws. When you have pets at home it is better to know repairing hardwood floors to some extent. Repairing hardwood floors with scratches is easy than you think.

For repairing hardwood floors with scratches all you need is some vinegar and a towel. Pour vinegar in water and dip a soft towel in that water and wring it as much as you can. Then use that towel to rub the scratches away by pressing the towel on the scratches as much as you can. For one gallon of water half a cup of vinegar is enough. For scratches that are deeper you might need to use sanders with a combination of wood fillers and polyurethane coats. Use a sander to sand the floor along the grains of the wood if you think that the scratch is deeper in the hardwood floor. Level the sanded floor with a wood filler and sand again. Use a damp towel to clean that area and then apply a polyurethane coating. Repairing hardwood floors is in contrast to repairing decorative bathroom sinks where you might even use wet saw blades.
