Garden kits and covers
Initially the main interest was in the medicinal value of plants rather than cultivation. Later royalty in France and Italy started promoting plants in a big way. The palace gardens had beautiful landscaping done on a magnificent scale. Under their patronage there was a spurt in the cultivation of orchards. Josephine, the wife of Napolean, introduced a wide variety of roses and was supposed to have, the largest collection of different species of roses in Europe. Water adds a sense of peace and serenity to any landscape. Ponds and cascades are an ideal way to add an element of water to the backyard. The next step would seem as easy as, just adding the water to the ditch, but first drainage issues need to be taken care of. The top layer of soil is always porous and unless there is a rock surface at the bottom of the trench, the water will seep underground. To prevent such seepage, the ditch needs to be covered with a pond liner. Similarly cordon off specific areas with the use of plastic garden edging. Alongside ensure that the sandpit play area is protected with the use of sandbox covers.
