Computers
I have a friend who has not even had any basic computer training and she is beginning to feel really left out of things. In her job, she does not have to use a computer very much and at home, her children all have computers and she does not know how to use them. She has a younger child and she thinks that she should learn for her sake and for her job and so has just signed up for a course. She has been learning very basic things like mouse skills and word processing, but it should be enough to give her confidence when doing things at work and hopefully she will let her older children show her how to do things. She is very impressed by the Internet and by web cams and I think that now she has had a taster she will want to learn a lot more.
I know that every job that I have had has involved computer work and I cannot imagine going without one even for one day! My father was a programmer and my husband is in IT support and just doing a computer training certification and so I am surrounded by people that know a lot about computers and I am sure that my children will have computers very soon and be very interested themselves.
